Henry Dancer Days supports children and young people with cancer. The charity was set up in memory of Henry John Dancer, who died in 2010 from Osteosarcoma, aged just 12. Henry’s Mum, Jane, founded the charity to support children and young people with primary bone cancer.
We provide grants to families with a child undergoing treatment for primary bone cancer, a rare kind of cancer which leads to unimaginable difficulties. This provides practical support when it is most needed, with additional support given to those in palliative care. We also run the hugely successful Storytelling Project at Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary, where our magical Storyteller helps children with cancer escape their troubles and enter a world of pure imagination!
